Episode 4

So, I know its very early in this episode, but, I made myself a checklist in the last one, and its time for a status update:

-Get in touch with Courtney via PM -

Sent her a PM, which I understand is the best way to get in touch with her, so that should be good.....

-Get in touch with Penny again

Woot, I got in touch with her and we finalised an alliance between her and myself, which is great, just what I wanted.

-Form some sort of agreement with anyone (call it alliance of friendship)

As above, I have completed this goal

-Attend challenge and make sure we win

I plan to be there, I have set my alarm clock for 2AM IN THE MORNING....but I will be there to give my support


This round has been a good round so far, I think my next step is a big one, but, if it works, it could set me up for a long time.

GOAL : Formalise an alliance between Myself, Penny, Ethan and Courtney. If that happens, I will be ecstatic. Then....almost certainly the inevitable will happen and the tribes will get swapped, but....I think that if we can solidify and alliance ASAP, it can probably cope with a early tribe swap.

Finally, this game is starting to pick up

Conversation with Penny

I've got a spare ten minutes or so before the next challenge is posted, so, I thought I would post the conversation so far between myself and Ethan, which has now developed into an alliance (yay) and a possible alliance group (which I am trying to steer to be Me, Ethan, Penny, Courtney and Cindy, even if I haven't spoken to the last two properly yet)

During the second challenge where myself and Penny was posting for the challenge, I suddenly notice that Ethan has popped up

Lydia:

a little tip Ive picked up, press alt+q to get to the quick reply box faster, and have the cursor in a fixed place where the 'post' button is, it makes it go a lot faster

Ethan:

Great. Thanks. My computer a bit slow, but I'll try to get as many posts in as possible.

After finding out we had almost certainly lost the challenge I PM'd him again

Well done btw and thanks for your help

Obviously we probably didn't win, but, I'm asking the host just to make sure that the other tribe followed the rules etc etc, otherwise we're off to tribal

Ethan:

It was no problem, it was a great team effort. I hope we won, but if we didn't, I think that it's very visible that Parvati has gone inactive, so she might as well be the first to go.

Lydia:

Thats fine by me

Ethan:

Sounds good, a pretty simple Tribal.

And in those two or three sentences, Parvati's fate was sealed, with my vote and Ethan's going to her, she was eliminated with just three votes.

Later on at tribal, Ib has made some remarks, that he has still yet to explain, but, we think he has just said things to stir the pot really.....So Ethan PM's me just to make sure

Ethan:

Hey Lydia,

do you know what Ibe is talking about? I don't think english is his first language, so I'm not sure what he means haha. You "want" me haha, is that some sort of sexual joke hahaha.

Lydia:

Hi, I have no idea what he is talking about either.

But just in case, no, I do not want you voted out. I do not plan to vote for you and I haven't told anyone to vote for you.

So, who knows, maybe he is just saying us two are an alliance, but, if he is, I don't know where that came from, as I haven't even spoken to Ib.

Ethan:

Ya, I've never spoken to Ibe either, so I don't know where he's getting his information from. But I assume that he thinks we have an alliance because we did the challenge, but Penny did it too, so I don't know haha.

He might have shot himself in the foot haha, I wouldn't mind seeing him go home after Parv haha.

Some time passes, and no-one really talks to each other, we just had a very quick challenge which Giza won, so there wasn't a real reason to talk to anyone. Then, at the start of round 4....

Ethan:

Hey Lydia,

Tribal was crazy, I don't understand why the votes were all over the place, but it's scary when things are like that. I think that we should probably start an alliance, like maybe a group of 5, so we can really secure our safety in the tribe. I have a few people in mind, like strong players like Penny, but I'm not sure whoelse might be up for it.


Lydia:

Hi,
First off, I'm in.

Second off, I'm glad you were the one to ask, I really don't like asking people for alliances (dunno why) but I wanted one with you (I guess Ib was right just....not in a sexual way....)
Yeah, I think you are right about Penny, shes a strong competitor and I've spoken to her on AIM and she seems cool.

However, I haven't really spoken to anyone else, I've tried to reach out to Courtney and Cindy, but, I haven't heard much of a reply from either of them.

So, as we are now allies, I'm going to be honest, I would feel uncomfortable if Rudy was in this alliance group, the only time he posts he is commenting on either sitting out a challenge or how interesting the sabotage twist is, so, I don't get the best vibe from him.

Who else were you thinking of asking?

(Oh, and it was me and you that sent Parvati home, right? It seems so weird that it was a two person majority (with one self vote))

So, there you have it, the story so far between me and Ethan, and the begins of hopefully a very powerful alliance.

Now, now, now....now! It gets interesting

Its really late here, so, I am going to go to bed and I will post a very interesting report tomorrow.

I told you I would post a good confessional, and, man, is it going to be good.
Me and Cindy finally had a little chat via AIM, and, lets face is communicating over AIM is somewhere between 2000 and 4000 times better then doing it via PM.
As such, I had a much better talk with her, and found out that she was the second vote for Parvati, that I had always assumed to be Ethan.
That made both of our eyebrows raise....what was going on? Why did Ethan say he voted for Parvati when he hadn't? The obvious answer is that a) he didn't vote for Parvati and b) he didn't vote for Ibrehem.

So....then it becomes a slew of logic to figure out one quite disturbing fact. (I have to assume that Cindy and Penny have told me the truth about their vote.)

If Ethan didn't vote for Ibrehem...he voted for me.

Which, is quite shocking, because I thought we had a good relationship, so much so that I thought we had an alliance. WHY would he vote for me? I mean, seriously, WHY? Theres no reason for it, as far as we are aware tiebreaks do not go on past votes....so....I'm lost. I truly am.

SO

Where do I stand? Well, importantly I have a two person alliance with Penny and a two person alliance with Cindy. I am still in Ethan's group alliance, but, unfortunately for him, he is not in control of it. Now, I'm not saying that I am in charge, but, I am saying that he is not..

Now, in this challenge, I decided to sabotage for the first time, not because I thought I could get the idol, I mean, come on, with only one clue...its not going to happen. Its just Ethan was making a big deal to me about how I shouldn't sabotage it. So, me, being completely untrusting of him at this moment in time, decided I would do it....call me childish

So....if Ethan is a snake.....which he very well could be if he didn't vote Ibrehem, he has been caught. Oooooh, this game got interesting.

I got an idol
...lol

I put aside six hours to get two clues (hey if I'm going to sabotage, I might as well do it properly) and, its a bloody good thing I did.
I am now in possession of HII #2, I went for the number two idol because its the least likely one to have been taken, and it seems I was right in my logic...but still....
I cannot believe that no-one else got to it....ah wells....I have an idol

Which, of course, no-one will be told about. Ever. Sorry, but thats how it goes.
