Well, this is interesting isn't it? Two players, one IP address. So, whats going to happen?
It's a shame the host didn't pause the game and check with Liz and Aras personally to see what was going on before making it public, but, it is such a big offense in ORG games that the conclusion jumped to isn't that bad.
Now, I personally believe Liz explanation, that those two are friends in real life. I mean, come on, we all pretty much knew that anyways, however....does that excuse what was done? No.
Liz had to go into Aras confessional and post a vote for him. Going into someone else's confessional is wrong regardless of the explanation and while I wish Aras all the best in whatever troubles he is going through at the moment.....you can not let someone go on your account and play for you....especially someone already in the game, and especially at the final four! Controlling half the votes makes it impossible for Liz to be eliminated.
So, what is the way forward? Well....I can imagine the host has a few options:
1. Let the votes stand and Gabriel goes
Well, thats not very likely to happen, is it? No. If this happens, it becomes a two way immunity challenge to see who wins the game. Whichever of the two (Liz or Wendy) win that last challenge will win the game because they will vote the other out. Game over.
2. Let the decision stand and Liz and Aras go
I wouldn't be surprised if this was the action the host took. After all, you are not allowed in someone else's confessional. Whilst it causes controversy, some fundamentals in the game were broken, and it serves two people who know each other outside the game right for trying to gain an unfair advantage.
3. Turn Aras' vote for Gabriel into a self-vote
Which, may or may not eliminate him, I'm pretty sure it will though, as I think he didn't vote in last rounds tribal council. This then puts three people who want to be in the game, and still have the time to do so in the final three, and it means that the final tribal council will have two actives in it and gives us something to do, rather then auto-voting for Wendy.
4. Nullify Aras and Liz vote's for Gabriel and have a tie between Liz and Gabriel.
Very unlikely, because it keeps Aras a known inactive (or should I say 'less-active') in over someone who, arguably, deserves to be in the game more. Then, what should happen in the next round? Theres no reason why Liz couldn't go onto Aras account again and do the tiebreaker challenge for him etc etc so, I doubt the host would do this.
Regardless of the decision made, I wish the host luck in doing so. It is a very sensitive subject, but, he has every right to be angry, and, if he decides to go with option 2, I don't think many will be too upset, it is a fairly big deal here.
What are your views, Jury?
